Responsible for oversight and management of all Quality Systems and Inspection Department. Manage department members and ensure responsibilities and tasks are completed as assigned. Ensure quality management system and documentation are maintained and updated as necessary.
Review quality systems and make recommendations regarding improvements. Maintain company quality policies.
Ensure ISO 9001:2015 quality systems are documented, implemented, reviewed, updated and maintained in order to retain certification. Conduct the Quarterly Management Review Committee meeting to review the Quality Systems in place and recommend changes and/or revisions.
Oversight of quality systems and methods throughout the production process.
Oversight of preparation of documentation and materials and presentation of information for weekly Quality meeting.
Communicate with customers regarding non-conformance issues; ensure proper resolution to non-conformance issues is achieved. Work with Operations Manager and HR Manager, and Accounting Department to make recommendations regarding customer credits, employee disciplinary actions, or other resolution.
Interface with customer Quality Departments and personnel during audits, customer visits and onsite inspections. Periodically perform customer evaluations and internal audits.
Oversight and record keeping management of inspection equipment calibration schedules and documentation.
Job Skills Required:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Manager position, previous supervisory experience necessary.
Previous experience in the carbide, ceramic, grinding, machining or manufacturing environment preferred.
Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
